Upcoming Professional Programming
Talking about Teaching
A Community of Practice (CoP) is a group of people, sharing a common interest, coming together to share experiences and ideas in an effort to develop personally and professionally. A CoP is designed to be shaped by its members’ needs and goals.
Join your colleagues to discuss classroom challenges, share effective teaching practices, and innovate and create new ideas to support learning at WSB. This semester’s topics are driven by student feedback from the academic year 2023-24. Invitations will be sent out directly via Outlook calendar as the dates arrive.

Teaching with Technology
A new webinar series exploring practical applications of technologies that aid and enhance teaching and learning. Webinars will combine how-to demonstrations and offer opportunities for practice and questions.
All webinars will be recorded and shared here on the Toolkit for Teaching Excellence. Invitations will be sent out directly via Outlook calendar as the dates arrive.

New Tech for Teaching
WSB offers to new tools for teaching – Harmonize & Feedback Fruits. Harmonize is an enhanced online discussion tool can support much more robust and interactive virtual discussions. Feedback Fruits will streamline team member evaluation procedures. Integrate them into your course!

On April 4, 2024, we hosted a workshop about Universal Design for Learning (UDL). Facilitated by a UDL specialist from UW-Madison’s Center for Teaching, Learning & Mentoring, participants learned practical tips about designing a more inclusive course.
