AI for Teaching and Learning
Artificial Intelligence, especially generative AI (GAI), has many applications in teaching and learning. Instructors can use GAI to design lesson plans and activities, create unique case scenarios, even draft quiz questions, to name only a few. Students can use GAI to help them develop their ideas for projects, design creative images, edit their written work, and more. While there continues to be concerns about the uses and trustworthiness of GAI from both students and instructors alike, with careful consideration and ethical approaches AI can offer a powerful collaboration.
Below you will find some general resources for learning more about artificial intelligence and GAI. Depending on your role as either faculty/instructor or student, we offer more resources on UW-Madison and WSB-specific AI teaching and learning tools (e.g., Learning Clues, NotebookLM, Co-Pilot, etc.).
Faculty & Instructor Resources
Faculty and instructors can find resources to help them integrate AI into their teaching practice. Take an online course, explore handouts, or read more about AI with these resources.
Student Resources
Students can find resources to help them understand campus AI policy, training opportunities, and UW-approved AI tools to help them learn.
